Specialization I: Financial Engineering

The objectives of this specialization track are (a) to provide fundamental knowledge in economics, management, and finance related to accounting, financial management, financial mathematics, international macroeconomics and international finance, as well as strategic management, and (b) to offer specialization in the application of quantitative and computational methods in financial decision-making.
Graduates acquire skills in modeling and applying statistical and mathematical optimization methods, as well as developing or implementing algorithmic approaches to a range of financial decision-making problems, including financial market analysis, real-time trading in stock markets, introduction and valuation of new financial products, optimal portfolio management issues, and other related areas.
