The objective of this course is twofold: firstly, to impart fundamental knowledge of management and economic principles pertinent to the business environment, including competition, strategy, human resource management and information systems; and secondly, to equip students with the ability to utilise mathematical and computational techniques, such as business research and data analysis, in the context of managerial decision-making.
Those who graduate from this field of study develop expertise in optimising production and service systems, in the effective management of time, costs and resources (project management, supply chain management, etc.), in the management of innovation and the development of new business activities, in the implementation of economic and technical analyses and the preparation of business plans, and so forth.
