The Department of Financial and Management Engineering at the University of the Aegean organizes and operates a Master's Degree Program entitled "Financial and Management for Engineers," in accordance with the provisions of Law 4957/2022 (Government Gazette A' 141).

This program is chronologically one of the first Postgraduate Programs at the University of the Aegean, with 20 years of successful operation.

The Master's Program leads to a Master's Degree in Financial and Management for Engineers with the following specializations:
     i.  Financial Engineering
    ii. Management Engineering
   iii. Economics and Management for Public Administration

The program's objective and aims are the generation and transmission of knowledge, methodologies, and tools applied at the interface of technology, economics, and management. The Master's Program aims to provide its graduates with a competitive advantage based on cultivating capabilities such as the ability to analyze complex problems requiring interdisciplinary knowledge from the fields of technology, informatics, finance, management, and economics. Graduates acquire skills in optimizing production and service systems, proper management of time, cost and resources, innovation management and development of new business initiatives, performance improvement, and public administration reorganization.

For the academic year 2024-2025, the program will be implemented entirely through distance learning, utilizing a synchronous education platform (real-time remote lectures).

Attendance of courses and participation in all educational activities, such as assignments, exercises, seminars, etc., is mandatory.

The duration of study leading to the Master's Degree is set at two (2) academic semesters, including the summer period (intensive annual program) during which the thesis is completed.

The total Credit Units (ECTS) required for obtaining the Master's Degree amounts to 75 (seventy-five).

Each course consists of 11 three-hour lectures, including the final examination.

The program accepts holders of undergraduate degrees from Higher Education Institutions (Universities and Technical Educational Institutions) of Greece or equivalent recognized institutions abroad.

Additionally, graduates from the Higher Military Educational Institutions, the Police Academy Officer School, the Fire Academy Officer School, and the Coast Guard Officer School are eligible, as well as graduates of Merchant Marine Academies (admitted from academic year 2005-06 who hold a first-class merchant marine diploma), in accordance with current legislation.

The tuition fee for the program is €3,800.00, distributed in installments (€500.00 upon registration, 1st installment €1,100.00, 2nd installment €1,100.00, and 3rd installment €1,100.00), payable on predetermined dates that will be announced in advance, as per the Department Assembly's decision.
