Giorgos Aspridis is a Full Professor of Administrative Science at the University of Thessaly. He graduated from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the University of Athens and holds a Ph.D. in Administrative Science from the same department. The topic of his doctoral thesis was "Comparison of Personnel Performance Evaluation Systems in Public and Private Institutions".
He has taught and/or lectured as a visiting professor at the Hellenic Open University, at the Productive Schools of the Hellenic Police and the Fire Brigade Academy, at the former TEI of Piraeus and Chalkida, at the postgraduate programmes of various university departments. He has trained a large number of executives in in-house seminars. He is the supervisor of three doctoral theses and has supervised the preparation of a large number of postgraduate diploma and bachelor theses.
He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business Administration and Management, Human Resource Management, Business Communication, Management Strategy, Public Administration, Knowledge Management and finally Business Ethics.
He has held several administrative positions at the former TEI of Thessaly (from 2010 to 2018). In particular, he was President of the Department of Business Administration of the former TEI of Thessaly and Director of the MSc "Management of Educational Units". He has been a member of evaluation committees of teaching, research and administrative work at departmental and institutional levels.
He has published more than 200 papers and articles in various international and national conferences, scientific and professional journals (such as Springer, SEER De Gruyter Open, Cambridge Scholars Publishing and others), edited books and others. He is a member of scientific organisations and associations, academic and scientific committees of journals, reviewer of several scientific papers in international conferences and journals, and reviewer in various institutions.
