The thesis is formally assigned to the graduate student during the spring semester of each academic year, and the writing and presentation of the thesis must be completed by October of that year.
The topic of each student's thesis should be related to the broader subject matter of one or more courses of the MSc.
Postgraduate students are required to submit the Application-Declaration of the d.e. to the MSc Secretariat, encompassing the title, the supervisor, and the members of the three-member committee. Additionally, an abstract of the proposed thesis, prepared in accordance with the prescribed template, should be included with the email. Finally, the email should include evidence of the agreement of the evaluation committee members from the correspondence between the student and the committee members (either in pdf or screenshot), which should indicate their acceptance of the participation in the evaluation committee.
The presentation of the theses is subject to two conditions. Firstly, it must be approved by the supervisor. Secondly, it must be agreed by the members of the three-member examination committee.
In order to arrange the presentation of a thesis, it is necessary to inform the Secretariat at least one week before the presentation. Following the conclusion of the student-tripartite committee communication, a final email should be dispatched to the Secretariat, accompanied by a completed document entitled "Presentation of Diploma Thesis". This document should include the date, time, supervisor, members of the examination committee, and the title (in Greek and English).
It is important to note that the student reserves the right to present their thesis only after the successful completion of all MSc courses.
The repository HELLANICUS is the designated location for the dissemination of postgraduate students' MSc theses.
