1. The nature of project management, the relationship between projects and production systems, characteristics of projects. Elements, concepts, and terminology. Project life cycle, process-based approach, key sections for monitoring and optimizing results.
2. Definition of the project scope, task analysis and organization, administrative structure of implementation, defining the Project Charter and WBS.
3. Identification of the elements of the method used to design and optimize project scheduling, introduction to CPM method, setting up a project scheduling using MS PROJECT (the software is available through the e-services of the University), managing activity margins, modeling problems in the MS Project environment.
4. Modeling uncertainty in scheduling using the PERT method and simple simulation models.
5. Designing the project budget and methods for monitoring and optimizing project costs.
6. Concurrent problem management methods for achieving scheduling and cost improvement in a project, analysis based on the Earned Value Method.
7. Resource management, identification and modeling of resources in a project, resource leveling methods, and familiarity with resource management issues in the MS Project environment.
8. Risk and uncertainty management during project implementation, risks associated with scheduling and implementation costs, methods for calculating risk impacts.
9. Project closure and completion methods.
10. Review of project management methods through the presentation of two comprehensive problems: a small factory construction project and a project for developing a new information system in the MS Project environment.
