This course examines the planning and management of public investments and projects at theoretical and practical level. The main objective of the course is the understanding of the nature and context of the public developmental planning as a basic mean for the management and implementation of the public investments and projects in Greece.

Use of ICT in teaching and communication with students
The main learning outcomes of the course are expected to be the following:
• Understanding the contemporary theoretical approaches related to public investments.
• Understanding the planning practice for public investments in Greece.
• Critically analyzing the content of the development strategy in Greece, at national and regional level.
• Understanding the methodological framework of the management of public programs and projects.
• Finally, the presentation of case studies of selected Greek public projects enables students to fully understand the processes, methods and techniques of the management and implementation of public programs and projects.
